This North York walk-in shower bathroom remodel reworked a dated 3-piece bathroom into a contemporary modern space built around a frameless glass walk-in shower and a bold patterned tile floor. The owners wanted a sharp black-and-white aesthetic that would feel intentional rather than trendy, so the renovation focused on classic material choices — subway tile, patterned floor, glass enclosure, minimalist vanity — assembled in a way that produces a distinctly modern read.
The work
We stripped the bathroom to studs and rebuilt around the new walk-in shower. The shower wall is finished in subway tile for its clean classical lines, and the glass enclosure keeps sightlines open across the small room — a critical move in compact urban bathrooms where any visible enclosure makes the space feel smaller. A bold patterned tile floor adds visual character without taking attention away from the surrounding white surfaces.
The result
A custom vanity with ample storage was installed in a minimalist design — clean lines, integrated hardware, no decorative pulls — to support the rest of the bathroom's restrained aesthetic. The finished space combines elegance and functionality: modern fixtures, classic tile choices, sharp black-and-white contrast, and the daily-use storage that makes the bathroom actually work for the family using it.
