A modern spa bathroom remodel in Mississauga
This Mississauga modern spa-style bathroom remodel rebuilt a dated, awkwardly-laid-out bathroom into a spacious, spa-like primary retreat. The owners wanted a bathroom that would feel like a private wellness space rather than just a utility room — quieter, calmer, and more deliberately designed than the original — so the renovation went well beyond a cosmetic refresh into a full layout reconfiguration.
The work
We stripped the original bathroom to studs and re-routed all the plumbing and electrical to support the new layout: a freestanding tub as the visual centrepiece, a curbless walk-in shower with no threshold at the entry, a floating double vanity sized to the wall it sits against, an LED mirror integrated into the vanity wall, and a concealed in-wall floating toilet that visually disappears against the surrounding tile. The new layout balances each element with deliberate spacing — the kind of room that reads as designed rather than fitted.
The result
Large-format porcelain tiles run continuously across the floor and into the curbless shower, with minimal grout lines that visually expand the room and simplify cleaning. The freestanding tub anchors the space without being attached to walls or fixtures, and the floating vanity and toilet keep the floor visually unbroken for the same expansive feeling. The finished bathroom delivers a contemporary spa-style experience built into a Mississauga family home — calm, spacious, and designed for daily use.
