Downtown Toronto Condo Renovation
About this downtown Toronto condo renovation
This downtown Toronto condo renovation reimagined a dated high-rise interior as a calm, gallery-style space built around durable surfaces and consistent sightlines. The homeowner wanted a contemporary backdrop for daily living, with hidden storage, quieter rooms, and a finished floor that would hold up to heavy foot traffic without showing wear.
After

Wide-plank European white oak engineered hardwood over natural cork underlay sets the tone for this downtown Toronto condo renovation — flat, quiet, and consistent from the entry through to the living area.
Gallery
The gallery walks through this downtown Toronto condo renovation from carpet removal and slab levelling to finished hardwood, the custom podium, solid-core doors, and modern square-profile baseboards. Each photo shows a specific stage our in-house crew completed without subcontracting.
Renovation highlights
Our crew started by stripping the original wall-to-wall carpet and underlay, then assessed the concrete slab beneath. Low spots were brought up with a self-levelling compound to give the new floor a flat, quiet base. Once the slab was prepped, we laid 1/4″ natural cork sheets to add acoustic dampening and underfoot comfort — important in a multi-unit building where impact noise travels — and installed European-made white oak engineered hardwood over top. The wide plank width and natural finish brighten the unit and read consistently from the entry through to the living area.
The renovation also resolved two practical limits of the original layout. We built a custom podium to neatly integrate fixed elements into the space while keeping circulation paths open, swapped the hollow-core interior doors for solid-core units with modern hardware, and replaced the colonial baseboards with a modern square profile. The result is a quieter, more cohesive condo that feels purposefully designed rather than simply updated.
