Newmarket is a long drive. We only quote kitchens that justify it.

Newmarket is 55 to 70 minutes from the shop. The kitchens that make that drive reasonable are full rebuilds: Main Street and the older grid, where the kitchen is still a closed room in a house with older wiring, and Stonehaven, Glenway, and Woodland Hill, where a 1990s or 2000s builder kitchen is ready for cabinets, quartz, and a layout change. We quote case by case. If the scope is a countertop and a backsplash, we will tell you to hire closer to Davis Drive.

Newmarket neighbourhoods and what we find there

  • Kitchen Renovation in Main Street & the older grid

Houses around the downtown grid. Closed kitchens, and supply lines we want to see before the sink spec is final. Town of Newmarket permit when plumbing or a wall moves.

  • Kitchen Renovation in Stonehaven & Summerhill

Later subdivisions with builder kitchens. Cabinet replacement and, where the dining room is unused, an island.

  • Kitchen Renovation in Glenway & Woodland Hill

1990s and 2000s detached homes. Laminate counters and a lighting plan that is one fixture. A full rebuild in the same footprint is the common scope.

  • Kitchen Renovation in Armitage

Mixed older and newer stock on the west side. We treat each kitchen as its own house, not as a subdivision package.

Kitchen Renovation questions - Newmarket

How much does a kitchen renovation cost in Newmarket?
A kitchen renovation in Newmarket runs $25,000–$50,000. A cabinet-and-counter refresh in the existing footprint starts around $18,000. A full rebuild that moves the sink and needs a permit lands at the top of that range. Projects above $50,000 are typically beyond our usual scope. Opening a load-bearing wall is a separate line, usually $15,000–$35,000. For Newmarket, the commute is built into the quote rather than billed as a travel fee.
How long does a kitchen renovation take in Newmarket?
A cabinet-and-counter refresh takes 2–3 weeks. A full rebuild in the same footprint takes 3–4 weeks, and a layout change that moves the sink takes 4–5 weeks. When plumbing or a wall moves, Town of Newmarket Building Services permit review adds time before demolition, and we put that in the schedule.
Do I need a building permit in Newmarket?
Yes when a wall is removed or moved, plumbing is relocated or added, new electrical circuits go in, or a basement is finished with a bathroom or a separate unit. Like-for-like replacements in the same positions usually do not need a building permit, though electrical work still goes through ESA. We prepare drawings, file with Town of Newmarket Building Services, and book every inspection.
Is Newmarket inside your service area?
It is at the edge. Newmarket is 55 to 70 minutes from our Mississauga shop via the 407 and 404. We quote it case by case and put the commute in the proposal. A full kitchen or a main-floor renovation usually makes sense. A small repair does not.
How long does permit review add in Newmarket?
When the sink moves or a wall comes out, Town of Newmarket Building Services reviews the drawings before demolition. That wait sits in front of the 3–5 week build, and we put it on the schedule instead of starting demo early.
